Calming Anxiety with Nature

Anyone out there feeling anxious? You are not alone! Tension and unrest are all around during these difficult times. The good news is that there are natural and energetic ways to nurture ourselves and re-center. I always recommend Nature as the greatest healer, and the simplest to access. Taking a walk outside, especially being conscious of the earth beneath your feet, reconnects you to our greatest source of healing energy, Mother Earth. Walking barefoot in the grass can help open the energy portals in our feet. Hugging or standing with your back to a tree can help to root your energy to the earth, and also enhances the upward flow through the tree's branches. Trees have an energy field too, and can help us to reset our own field. Try getting out in nature next time the waves of anxiety start to carry you away, and try for a daily practice of outside activity each day.
